J'ai installé depuis quelques temps un serveur basé sur une barebone 
TYAN TA-26 (carte mère S3992 chipset HT-1000 2xcpu Opteron 2210 (double 
coeur) 2 x 4 Go DDR-II ) .
Après avoir essayé plusieurs distributions 32 et 64 bits (etch, ubuntu 
LTS,Opensuse,actuellement CentOS 5) le problème est toujours le même :
au boot la mémoire occupée est < 100 Mo ce qui est normal

ensuite la mémoire est grignotée par les accès au filesystem , un simple 
"du -sh" suffit.

J'ai déplacé les disques SATA sur un controleur raid pci express 
(highpoint 2320) en croyant que le problème se situait au niveau sur 
driver sata HT-1000 mais le problème reste entier .
Le support highmem est activé pour prendre en charge les 8 Go de RAM
Quelqu'un a t'il déjà utilisé un config similaire avec le même genre de 
problèmes ?

J'ai aussi essayé un kernel 2.6.20 Ubuntu sans succès
Le problème est reproductible avec raid soft ou lvm .
Actuellement j'utilises une config lvm .

Les perf sont bonnes pour un raid5 à 3 disques .
