Je n'ai pas de scanner Brother, mais de l'autre fabricant auquel tu 
faisais allusion au début du post.

Une brève recherche avec la ligne ce-dessus m'a retourné ceci (manip sur 
udev, et j'imagine que tu est aussi déjà tombé dessus):
